Vince and his teenage daughter Zoë try to reconnect on holiday.

“You only really get to know each other on holiday.” That certainly applies to divorced diver Vince and his teenage daughter Zoë. For the first time in a long while, they are going on a trip together, to the Dutch island of Terschelling. Vince wants to prove that he’s the cool dad, hoping to repair their relationship. But that’s not so easy in a place where the locals consistently refer to tourists dismissively as “bathing guests”. Along with a heap of personal problems, secrets and lies, this makes things very difficult for Vince and Zoë.
‘Op vakantie leer je elkaar pas echt kennen’. Dat geldt zeker voor de gescheiden duiker Vince en zijn tienerdochter Zoë. Ze gaan voor het eerst sinds lang samen op reis, naar het Nederlandse eilandje Terschelling. Vince wil bewijzen dat hij de coole papa is, in de hoop hun relatie te herstellen. Maar dat is niet zo simpel op een plek waar de ‘eilanders’ toeristen steevast denigrerend ‘badgast’ noemen. Dat, en een hoop onderlinge problemen, geheimen en leugens, maken het Vince en Zoë heel moeilijk.
