synopsis

Dimitri, a small Western bird, arrives with his parents in a big storm during their long journey to the South. Dimitri falls and lands in Ubuyu, an African savanna. Makeba the giraffe takes Dimitri under her protection and, after a short period of time, Dimitri makes friends with the local animals. This is the start of a trip full of experiences with his new friends Pili and Oko, new discoveries in a surprising world.
Un jour de tempête, Dimitri s’est trouvé séparé de ses parents et de la colonie d’oiseaux migrateurs qui volaient vers le Sud. Il s’est posé dans la plaine d’Ubuyu en Afrique. Makeba la girafe a pris le passereau sous sa protection et, au fil des jours, Dimitri a découvert les animaux et les modes de vie de la savane. Et ce séjour imprévu s’est révélé particulièrement enrichissant. Pour Dimitri, c’est comme des super vacances dans ce coin d’Afrique où il s’est fait de nouveaux amis comme Pili la jeune suricate, Oko le petit zèbre, Kimbu l’oryctérope ou Badou le caméléon.
Dimitri, een klein Westers vogeltje, komt samen met zijn ouders in een storm terecht tijdens de grote trek naar het zuiden. Dimitri valt naar beneden en komt terecht in Ubuyu, een Afrikaanse vlakte. Makeba de giraf neemt Dimitri in bescherming en al snel sluit hij vriendschap met de lokale dieren. Van dan af begint voor Dimitri, samen met zijn nieuwe vrienden Pili, Oko en Kimbu, een periode vol ontdekkingen en nieuwe ontmoetingen in een verrassende wereld.
Op een ochtend vinden ze een merkwaardig pakket dat van de overbeladen 'taxi brousse' is gevallen. In het pakket ontdekken ze een klein bang aapje, Tamaa. De bewoners van Ubuyu sluiten de nieuwkomer in de armen en Tamaa is er snel bij om het rustige leven in Ubuyu te verlevendigen.
