UK award for A Gentle Push

Philippe Verkinderen’s short, A Gentle Push, has won the Shine Short Award for Best Short at the Bradford Film Festival (16-27 March). The film bested four other shorts in Bradford’s competition for best international short.

Little Robbie in A Gentle PushThe jury report lauded A Gentle Push for its “unity, performances and sense of purpose” and appreciated how the film “was full of pleasing symmetries and parallels, every element of the film linking with another and nothing there without reason. The film’s interlinking stories skillfully weave together pathos and dark comedy."
