EN - Nature is calm and quiet. Two young men wander in the forest. Suddenly, without any explanation, one of them kills the other in a gruesome act. The murderer ditches the lifeless body in the forest and flees in panic. Exhausted, he falls asleep in a wide field. Nature calms again. Then the murderer awakes to realise the horror he has committed.

33rd selection for Kaïn

Kristof Hoornaert’s Kaïn keeps on travelling the world. In April the film will be shown in Uruguay, where has been selected for the XXIX International Film Festival (18-30 April). This makes it a remarkable 33 festival invitations for the short so far. Kaïn started its career at the 2008 Berlinale where it was shown in competition. It also won prizes for Best Director and Best Short Film at Bueu International Short Film Festival and Patras City International Film Festival respectively.

Still from KaïnThe XXIX International Film Festival of Uruguay will take place from 18-30 April and is set in the city of Montevideo. This festival presents films of merit which might not otherwise be shown in the region. The festival has four sections. Kaïn will be shown in the International Full Length Films and Short Show.
