Yvonne's attempts to revive her failing marriage come to nothing.

synopsis

Yvonne tries to put some new life into her failing marriage by delving into the world of Japanese pop-culture. Every morning, she prepares a cute Japanese lunchbox (or 'bento') for her husband Frank, who works in the waste collection centre. But Frank is more interested in his handsome male colleague and secretly throws his lunchbox away before anyone sees it.
Yvonne essaie d’apporter un vent frais dans son mariage raté en se plongeant dans la culture pop japonaise. Tous les matins, elle prépare une mignonne boîte à tartine japonaise (Bento) pour son mari, Frank, qui travaille dans un centre de tri des déchets. Frank porte quant à lui son attention sur son beau et jeune collègue et jette secrètement le contenu de sa boîte à tartine avant que quelqu’un ne puisse le voir.
