Antwerp, eight weeks prior to the City Council elections of 14 October, 2012, 14-year-old Lisa disappears.

synopsis

The election battle between progressive mayor Peter Van Laer and the conservative opposition leader Bert Coenen is in full swing, but the disappearance of 14-year-old Lena holds the city in thrall. Her mother approaches the editors of the local newspaper 'Gazet van Antwerpen' asking them to publish Lena's picture. Marianne Smith, a young reporter, is determined to seek out the truth behind the abduction and prove it is politically motivated.
Anvers, huit semaines avant les élections du conseil municipal du 14 octobre 2012. Le combat entre le bourgmestre progressiste Peter Van Laer et le chef de l’opposition Bert Coenen bat son plein. Pendant ce temps, la disparition de Lena, une jeune fille de 14 ans, tient la ville en haleine. La mère se rend chez l’éditeur du journal local La Gazet van Antwerpen, lui demandant de publier la photo de Lena. Marianne Smith, une nouvelle au journal cherche obstinément la vérité et découvre que cette disparition est liée au monde politique.
Antwerpen, acht weken voor de gemeenteraadsverkiezingen van 14 oktober 2012. De verkiezingsstrijd tussen de progressieve burgemeester Peter Van Laer en de conservatieve oppositieleider Bert Coenen is volop aan de gang. Net dan wordt Antwerpen opgeschrikt door de verdwijning van de veertienjarige Lena. Haar moeder stapt naar de redactie van Gazet van Antwerpen en vraagt om de foto van Lena in de krant te plaatsen. Marianne Smidt, een kersverse journaliste bij de krant, bijt zich in de zaak vast en achterhaalt dat de verdwijning vertakkingen heeft naar de politieke wereld…
