synopsis

In the three-part documentary series Dear Body, director Nathalie Basteyns takes us into the lives of five young people: Amalie (27), Elio (19), Yanni (21), Hannelore (22) and Pavitra (27). Each of them faces different challenges in their daily lives due to their own bodies, yet despite the physical and mental struggles, they persevere and move forward. In doing so, they show that no body needs to stand in the way of the goals and dreams they pursue.
Dans la série documentaire en trois parties « Liefste lijf », la réalisatrice Nathalie Basteyns nous plonge dans la vie de cinq jeunes gens : Amalie (27 ans), Elio (19 ans), Yanni (21 ans), Hannelore (22 ans) et Pavitra (27 ans). Tous sont, à leur manière, freinés dans leur vie quotidienne par leur propre corps, mais malgré les difficultés physiques et mentales, ils vont de l’avant avec persévérance. Ils montrent ainsi qu’aucun corps ne doit faire obstacle aux objectifs et aux rêves qu’ils poursuivent.
In de driedelige docureeks Liefste lijf neemt regisseur Nathalie Basteyns ons mee in het leven van vijf jonge mensen: Amalie (27), Elio (19), Yanni (21), Hannelore (22) en Pavitra (27). Allen worden zij in hun dagelijkse leven op een andere manier door hun eigen lichaam gedwarsboomd, toch gaan ze ondanks de fysieke en mentale strubbelingen volhardend vooruit. Zo tonen ze dat geen lichaam in de weg hoeft te staan van de doelen en dromen die ze najagen.
