Martha, Muriels mother, watches from a distance and finds her own enclosed life bursting open again, recognising a forgotten girl's dream. Their lives cross and influence one another and in the end they have an interesting and turbulent evening. Meisje is a movie about the subtle and immense power that drives woman...
Meisje est l'histoire de trois femmes au carrefour de leur vie. Muriel, la jeune fille (Meisje), cherche sa voie. Elle rompt les liens avec ses parents, son petit ami de long terme et la vie contraignante du village. Elle a un besoin vital d'indépendance à Bruxelles, et emménage avec Laura, une femme spontanée et vive qui a une vie sentimentale chaotique et un désir grandissant d'avoir un enfant. Martha, la mère de Muriel, observe les faits de loin et voit sa vie enfermée s'ouvrir à nouveau, retrouvant un rêve de jeune fille oublié. Leur vies se croisent et s'influencent l'une l'autre et, pour finir, elles passent une soirée intéressante et turbulente. Meisje est un film sur pouvoir immense et subtil qui pousse les femmes...
