The character of Marie Antoinette has been transferred to the present. She meets Frédérique, whom she violently falls in love with. Since Marie Antoinette is destined however to marry a king, the court where Frédérique resides is burned down and Marie Antoinette is married to Louis XVI. Frédérique survives the fire and the lovers meet again at a press conference. Under the flashing eye of press cameras, they fall into each others arms.

synopsis

The character of Marie Antoinette has been transferred to the present. She meets Frédérique, whom she violently falls in love with. Since Marie Antoinette is destined however to marry a king, the court where Frédérique resides is burned down and Marie Antoinette is married to Louis XVI. Frédérique survives the fire and the lovers meet again at a press conference. Under the flashing eye of press cameras, they fall into each others arms. When Louis sees the pictures in the newspaper, he throws her out. She elopes with Frédérique, but when he is killed by accident and when Louis is killed as well, Marie Antoinette is suspected. She defends herself with an ode to her beloved and to love, proving that she is too sharp for the others and that this isn't the end of her...
Le personnage de Marie Antoinette a été transporté dans le présent. Elle rencontre Frédérique, de qui elle tombe follement amoureuse. Marie Antoinette étant néanmoins destinée à épouser un roi, la cour dans laquelle Frédérique réside est incendiée et Marie Antoinette est mariée à Louis XVI. Frédérique survit à l’incendie et les deux amants se retrouvent à une conférence de presse. A la lumière des caméras, ils tombent dans les bras l’un de l’autre. Lorsque Louis voit les images dans le journal, il l’expulse. Elle s’enfuit avec Frédérique, mais alors qu’il est tué par accident et que Louis est également assassiné, Marie Antoinette est suspectée. Elle se défend avec une ode à son amant et à l’amour, démontrant qu’elle est trop maline pour les autres et que ce n’est pas une fin pour elle…
