The story of the last six months of the Ancienne Belgique Theatre in Antwerp, lived through the artists during the 1970s.

Ancienne Belgique, Antwerp, during the 1970s. With the growing popularity of television, theatre attendance dwindles and stage actors are forced to make the transition from music hall to television. To make matters worse, real estate tycoons are turning many of Antwerp's buildings into shopping malls. As seen through the eyes of its colourful characters, this production tells the fascinating story of how the AB in Antwerp met its ruin, and possibly ushered in the end of an era.
L’Ancienne Belgique à Anvers, les années ’70. Suite au succès de la télévision, les spectateurs boudent le théâtre et les acteurs arrêtent les spectacles de variété pour les grands spectacles télévisés. A cette même époque, de nombreux immeubles anversois sont achetés par des géants de l’immobilier qui veulent y installer des magasins. En suivant plusieurs personnages hauts en couleur, cette production raconte l’histoire passionnante du déclin de l’AB anversois et peut-être même de la fin d’une époque.
