Prelude to the Sea, from the music by Claude Debussy and a work by Stéphane Mallarmé, is a sublime musical poem of the absent; the disappearing. Set in the dried out Aral Sea, this poem is confronted with a catastrophic environment: a place where a whole lake is disappearing.
Prelude to the Sea, sur la musique de Claude Debussy et après un texte de Stéphane Mallarmé, est un poème musical sublime sur ce qui est absent, ce qui disparaît. Tourné dans la mer d'Aral desséchée, ce poème est mis en parallèle avec l’environnement désastreux, un endroit où un lac tout entier est en train de disparaître.
