A documentary exploring the idea of cultural identity in the former Bosnia-Herzegovina.

A three-part experimental documentary exploring cultural identity in both Belgium and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The solitary reflections of a female Bosnian are explored alongside interviews with people still living there and those who fled the country during the civil war. The film attempts to find some perspective on the question of what is self and what is other; what emotions lie behind inner and outer struggle; and what drives mankind to make fatal sacrifices.
Een experimentele auteursdocumentaire in drie delen over identiteit in België en Bosnië-Herzegovina. De eenzame overwegingen van een Bosnische lezeres worden afgewisseld met interviews en emotionele bekentenissen van inwoners uit Bosnië-Herzegovina. Wat betekenen begrippen als 'zelf' en de 'ander', vanwaar komt innerlijke en uiterlijke strijd, wat drijft ons ertoe opofferingen te brengen, ten dienste van een gevoel van eenheid en identiteit.
