synopsis

In Limburg, forest ranger Eddy has responsibility for the first pack of wolves to become established in Flanders for centuries. But a hard winter is coming, and game is scarce. The wolves have found a meadow and are wreaking havoc among the sheep kept there. People are angry, and newspaper articles about the wolves are piling up. The battle between humans and nature is now just about humans. And no human can win it.
De strijd van mens en wolf in Vlaanderen, door de ogen van het schaap. Dat dit de hardste winter wordt in jaren, weten drie Limburgse schapenboeren, Pieter, Jeroen en Luc. En ook Eddy, boswachter met in zijn bos de eerste Vlaamse roedel wolven. Zij zijn dit jaar met meer dan ooit en leven nu nog in het bos, maar het wild schaars geworden. De wolven hebben de weide gevonden om daar een bloedbad aan te richten. Iedere week zijn er nieuwe schadegevallen. Meer mensen worden radeloos van woede en krantenartikelen over de wolf stapelen zich op. De publieke opinie wordt steeds negatiever. De strijd tussen mens en natuur is een van alleen maar mensen geworden. En geen mens die die kan winnen.
