Yuna, a Belgian-Japanese girl, faces a life-changing decision when the two cultures in her broken family come together again.

synopsis

Since her parents’ divorce, Yuna has been raised in Belgium by her father, while her mother returned to Japan. Following an accident, her father falls into a coma, and her mother, who has remarried and has a new family in Japan, comes back to Belgium to collect her. Yuna, now 11 years old, flees. When her father awakens, the broken family comes back together for the first time for his slow rehabilitation. Slowly, they regain each other's trust, and Yuna begins a new chapter, with her mother and half-sister also becoming part of her life.
Après un divorce, la mère de Yuna (11) est rentrée au Japon il y a sept ans. Depuis, Yuna vit avec son père, qui se retrouve dans le coma après un accident. La mère de Yuna rentre précipitamment en Belgique, avec sa petite fille issue d'un nouveau mariage. Yuna découvre que sa mère envisage de l'emmener au Japon, et Yuna s'enfuit. Lorsque le père se réveille, la famille brisé se réunit pour la première fois pour sa lente réhabilitation. Mais Yuna a aussi un long chemin à parcourir dans son rôle de grande sœur et de fille de sa mère. Lentement, elles regagnent la confiance de l'autre, et Yuna entame un nouveau chapitre, avec sa mère et sa demi-sœur qui font également partie de sa vie.
Na een scheiding keerde Yuna’s (11) moeder zeven jaar geleden terug naar Japan. Sindsdien leeft Yuna met haar vader, die na een ongeval in een coma belandt. Yuna’s moeder snelt terug naar België, samen met haar dochtertje uit een nieuw huwelijk. Yuna ontdekt dat haar moeder overweegt om haar mee te nemen naar Japan, en Yuna vlucht weg. Wanneer de vader ontwaakt, komt het gebroken gezin voor het eerst terug samen voor zijn langzame revalidatie. Maar ook Yuna heeft een lange weg te gaan in haar rol als grote zus en als dochter van haar moeder. Langzaam winnen ze elkaars vertrouwen terug, en begint Yuna een nieuw hoofdstuk, waarbij ook haar moeder en halfzusje deel van haar leven vormen.
