synopsis

A peaceful Trappist community is doomed to fade away, as there are only 10 monks left. When their beer is suddenly proclaimed the best in the world, it feels like an act of God. But their success turns out to be a poisoned chalice, opening the gates to capitalism. In each episode we lose one of the monks: a murder, an escape, a #metoo affair, a burnout… The thing they thought would save them, will slowly destroy them. Ten Little Monks is a spiritual knock-out race, created by Sanne Nuyens (The Twelve, Beau Sejour) and Sabine Lubbe Bakker and Niels van Koevorden (Becoming Mona).
