synopsis

The Twelve is a character-driven crime series which revolves around a jury of a murder trial. This second season, The Cinderella Murder, tells a new story: Anton and his daughter Julie are charged with the murder of Anton's new partner. Yet Julie claims to have acted alone, and Anton shouts out his innocence. However, the public prosecutor's office believes that Julie is protecting her father and that they committed the crime together.
Tijdens het proces volgen we de ‘Assepoester-moord’, waarbij Anton Bergman en zijn dochter Julie aangeklaagd worden voor de moord op Marianne Coens, partner van Anton en stiefmoeder van Julie. Toch beweert dochter Julie alleen gehandeld te hebben, en schreeuwt vader Anton zijn onschuld uit. Het parket gelooft echter dat Julie haar vader beschermt, en dat ze de moord met zijn tweeën gepleegd hebben. Twaalf juryleden zijn uitgeloot om een oordeel te vellen in deze complexe zaak. Na de procesdagen gaan we mee naar huis met de verschillende juryleden en leren zo hun privélevens kennen.
