synopsis

The newly rich DDT has cheated his way to the ownership of FC Champions. He throws out the old gang and puts together a new, young and talented team. The old Champions get one chance to win their team back: they have to go head-to-head with the new team. But they realise that without reinforcements they don't stand a chance. Desperately, the entire team travels to Africa to recruit new players. It will be the trip of a lifetime, brimming with exciting adventures. In the meantime, two Champions stayed behind to try and expose DDT. Will they succeed and save the honour and name of their team?
Een inmiddels rijk geworden DDT is er via list en bedrog in geslaagd om eigenaar te worden van FC De Kampioenen. Hij gooit meteen de oude garde buiten en stelt een nieuwe, jonge en getalenteerde ploeg samen. De oude Kampioenen krijgen één kans om in een rechtstreeks duel hun ploeg terug te winnen, maar beseffen dat ze kansloos zijn zonder versterking. Met de moed der wanhoop trekt de bijna voltallige bende naar Afrika op zoek naar nieuwe spelers. Het wordt de reis van hun leven, boordevol spannende avonturen. Inmiddels trachten twee achtergebleven Kampioenen DDT te ontmaskeren. Zullen zij hierin slagen en kunnen ze zo de eer en naam van hun ploeg redden?
