1994: there is civil war in Burundi, a small central African country directly bordering Rwanda. A near genocidal confrontation involves rebels mainly composed of ethnic Hutus and a national army with a majority of Tutsis.

synopsis

This short film relates a frequent by-product of the fratricidal conflict in Burundi: the attack by rebels on a minivan carrying ordinary citizens. A Kalashnikov blasts. The bus stops, the passengers get off. An order is barked: "Hutus to the left, Tutsis to the right!" The sorting out begins. But who is a Hutu; who is a Tutsi?
1994: Le Burundi, un petit pays d’Afrique centrale à la frontière du Rwanda, est plongé dans une guerre civile. Une confrontation ressemblant à un génocide oppose les rebelles, principalement composés des Hutus ethniques, et l’armée nationale qui rassemble une majorité de Tutsis.
