synopsis

When heart-transplant patient Florence finds out that her donor, Ana, was adopted, she realises that her own adopted daughter, Zoe, is experiencing painful identity issues. Together with Paul, Ana's father, Florence sets out to uncover the reasons for Ana’s mysterious death. She hopes that understanding Ana's tragic story will help her save Zoe from her growing teenage identity crisis.
A la suite d’une transplantation cardiaque, Florence s’ouvre aux douloureux questionnements identitaires de sa fille adoptée Zoé en découvrant que sa donneuse Ana est elle aussi adoptée. Déterminée avec Paul, le père d’Ana, à élucider les raisons de sa mort mystérieuse, Florence espère que la compréhension de la destinée-tragique d’Ana va l’aider à sauver sa fille en pleine crise d’adolescence…
Na een harttransplantatie komt Florence erachter dat haar donor Ana geadopteerd was. Het treft haar, te meer omdat ze zelf een adoptiedochter heeft: Zoé, die net op dat moment worstelt met pijnlijke vragen over haar identiteit. Florence is vastbesloten om samen met Paul, de vader van de ‘verongelukte’ Ana, uit te zoeken wat die mysterieuze dood heeft veroorzaakt. Ze hoopt dat inzicht in het tragische lot van Ana haar zal helpen om haar eigen dochter Zoé door haar identiteitscrisis te loodsen...
