synopsis

It's his son's wedding and Hermann is determined to get his money's worth. A beautiful countryside restaurant on the German-Belgian border is the setting for the wedding banquet - only the best is good enough for the short-tempered Hermann and his clan. But it doesn't take much to turn the happy day into a disaster. Hermann orders his family to leave and star chef Franz Berger to put his bill somewhere where the sun never shines. However, Hermann has met his match in Franz, who promptly has the gates to the country inn sealed, imprisoning the bride and her mother-in-law, holding them to ransom. Hermann will have none of it and organises a siege to release the hostages. As night falls and a full moon rises, the sleepy country inn turns into a true battlefield.
C’est le mariage de son fils et Hermann est déterminé à en avoir pour son argent. Le banquet du mariage se déroulera dans un magnifique restaurant de campagne situé sur la frontière belgo-allemande. Seul le meilleur est bien assez pour l’irritable Hermann et sa famille. Mais il ne faut pas grand-chose pour transformer l’heureux jour en désastre. Hermann ordonne à sa famille de quitter les lieux et au chef étoilé Franz Berger de ranger son addition où le soleil ne brille jamais. Cependant, Hermann rencontre son adversaire en la personne de Franz qui ferme promptement les portes de son auberge, emprisonnant la mariée et sa belle-mère et demandant une rançon. Hermann ne donnera rien de cela et organise un siège pour libérer les otages. A la tombée de la nuit, lorsque la pleine lune se lève, l’auberge de campagne endormie se transforme en un réel champ de bataille.
